The Community Centre is staffed by the Centre Administrator Ellen Powell, Enterprise Facilitator Bob Briggs and a number of volunteers. We currently have a vacancy for a caretaker/cleaner. The Board of Trustees and the Management Committee are the dedicated volunteers who made this whole enterprise possible.
We are always keen to encourage new volunteers to get involved in the centre. For example, we now can open the ICT facilities on Thursday evenings between 7 and 9 pm as a result of volunteers giving up their evening to supervise a Computer Drop-In session. This is a self help group where the more skillful users help computer novices to get started in using our facilities. It is not a computer course - see the courses page for more information. This session is a good chance to catch up on homework, to play computer games or simply to 'surf the net'.
Or, you may like to help with office work or perhaps opening up the centre for people hiring rooms for parties, meetings or courses.
